Father's Day Gift Ideas

What We Would Get for Our Husbands
By Hilary and Laurie

What to get for the new dad or dad-to-be
for Father’s Day? Perhaps our picks will
provide some inspiration this June.

Here are some gifts that we know
our sweethearts would love!
Maybe yours will too…

Flip Video

UltraHD Camcorder

We’re expecting our second daughter right before
Father’s Day and we don’t want her to suffer from
‘second-child syndrome’ (where the ratio of first child to
second child photos and videos is 10:1!). My husband
and I are both total gadget nerds, so I know this mini HD
video camera (now with 120 minutes of
built-in memory) would be the perfect addition to
our collection of multi-media devices. ~ Hilary

Frieling

 Stainless Steel Thermal French Press

One word to get his day started off on the right foot: coffee.
Freshly ground organic beans brewed in a French press
can’t be beat. This one keeps coffee hot for hours. ~ Laurie

Kodak

EasyShare W820 8-Inch Wireless Digital Frame

Even though we love tech toys, we have yet to purchase
a digital frame. What I love about this one is that you can
send photos from photo-sharing sites like Kodak or Flickr
and not be dependent on a memory card.
(It would also make a great gift for the grandparents since we
could remotely upload new photos of the grandkids!) ~ Hilary

 BabyBjorn

Air Carrier

Hiking has always been a favorite activity of his. And,
since he’s a fan of the original BabyBjorn
(his carrier of choice with our kids), this version is perfect for
getting a workout on the trail while toting our littlest
one – it’s made from an airy 3D mesh that
wicks away heat and moisture. ~ Laurie

  Frontgate

35mm-to-digital Film Converter

We’d like to preserve our family memories for our kids
and future generations, so this gadget seems ideal to
bring our own baby pics into the digital age. ~ Hilary

  Haier

Thermal Electric Wine Cellar

When our son was born in 2005, my husband bought
bottles of wine that shared the same vintage as our son’s birth year.
His intention was to store them and then share them with
our son on special occasions when he’s of age. This wine
locker will make sure these bottles last through the years. ~ Laurie

  Monopoly

Premier Collector's Edition

My husband is a big Monopoly fan, so this upscale twist on
his favorite game would be a great activity
for an in-home date night. ~ Hilary

  Taylor

Baby Taylor Acoustic Guitar

Since my husband is a composer, music plays a big part of
his life – and our children absolutely love it when he serenades.
Although this guitar is a half-sized model, it’s beautifully crafted,
so you’re not compromising on sound or quality. And one day,
it’ll be the perfect first guitar for our kids, too! ~ Laurie
