Welcome
It was Christmas Day when we received the best present ever! We found out that we would be adding a new memeber to the Offutt Family. The Lord sure had been preparing our hearts for this gift and we are super excited! We ask that you would join us in prayer for this little life.
Naming Our Baby
Well we've finally got a name. Emmaus
This come from the biblical account in Luke 24 where Jesus meets with two of the disciples and proves His ressurection. He also goes on to explain all the scriptures from Moses to that present time concerning who He is. He opened up their eyes and their famous phase "did our hearts not burn within us" captured my heart. Steve and I desire and prayer for our little girl is that her heart would burn for the things of God and for Jesus Himself.
The road that Jesus met these disciples was called "Emmaus."

Interestingly this journey of pregnancy has been life changing and i have had my share of encounters with Jesus on "the road to Emmmaus'" birth.

Ya know you just learn your strengths and weaknesses in life and you grow older.  Apparently, "blogging" is a weakness for me.  I thought that keeping up a little website once a week would be a simple task.  As you can see not so much.  So here's a little recap for those that are more diligent about reading this than I am about write.  Thank you the the faithful, I have much to learn!

Well you missed the entire second trimester so in a nutshell...

I was pretty easy no major issues, she just got bigger as did I.  We finally officially found out she was a girl.  We had one of those 2D, 3D,4D ultrasounds and as far as we could see she's a girl.  STeve's mom, sister Lindsay, and our housemates Roni and Emily were there.  We saw her moving around, get the hiccups, and even stick her tongue out at us.  I enjoyed part-time status, taking a class by internet, napping, and getting the baby's room togther.  We went to California and home to Maryland.  Both fun and good learning experiences. That's about it.

I am now 33 weeks along so well into my third trimester...

She's still getting bigger and is moving ALL the time!  I think we have a dancer on our hands.  As soon as we get into the prayer room she is raring to go. She gets the hiccups about 3-4 times a day which is funny because you can see from the outside when she gets them.  Steve's has placed his head on my stomach and she has kicked him before.  We're both feeling good just tired sometimes.  Just trying to stay cool and trying not to complain. We are super excited about her coming, but I have to say this past week I have been thinking about how I'm going to miss having her inside me.  She's just wonderful and great company.  I really do enjoy being pregnant.
