		Oscar nominee and Ugly Betty producer Salma Hayek produced a baby girl of her own, Valentina Paloma Pinault. “Mother and child are doing well,” her publicist Cari Ross told the Associated Press. Samantha Harris had a good excuse for missing her hosting duties on this season’s Dancing With the Stars premiere: birth of her daughter Josselyn Sydney (who made an early appearance). Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker’s brood has sprouted: A baby girl she adopted from Africa will join her three-year-old son, Will. Pop star Charlotte Church has a new tune to sing: motherhood. She delivered her baby girl, Ruby Megan, at home.
		Third time’s another charm for Zodiac’s Mark Ruffalo and his wife Sunrise Coigney, who’s baby is expected to join their six-year-old son Keen and two-year-old daughter Bella on October 18th.
		Six months pregnant Entourage and Boston Legal actress Constance Zimmer announced she is having a girl.
		Before attending the Emmys, Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman ran the first leg of the Nautica Malibu Triatholon in honor of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Pediatric Cancer Research Program.
		Former Playmate and television actress Jenny McCarthy has written Louder Than Words: A Mother's Journey in Healing Autism, about her son Evan Joseph, 5. As McCarthy told People magazine, “I’m pretty grounded, but when you have a sick kid, you would cut off a chicken’s head if you thought it would cure him.”
		While accepting her Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Joy on My Name is Earl, Jaime Pressly said her 5-month-old son Dezi James, “is the best thing to ever happen to me.” In the Sex and the City big-screen movie (expected to be released in May ’08), the character Charlotte, played by Kristin Davis, will be pregnant. While promoting his new film, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Brad Pitt has been telling the press that his children (with Angelina Jolie) take away his sadness and make him laugh. And he shares, “One of the things I'm most happy about for my kids is that they have a mother, I think, because she's amazing."

		Rules of Engagement star Oliver Hudson and wife Erinn Bartlett have gotten a little Wilder. On August 23rd they welcomed son Wilder Brooks Hudson. Satine Anais Geraldine was welcomed into the real world on August 20th by parents Jacinda Barrett (from MTV's The Real World: London), and husband actor Gabriel Macht.
		Oscar winner Halle Berry and boyfriend model Gabriel Aubry are expecting a little trophy of their own. Actors Summer Phoenix (sister to River and Joaquin) and Casey Affleck (brother to Ben) are expecting a sibling for their three-year-old son, Indiana. "They're very happy and excited about the new addition to their family," Affleck spokeswoman Rebecca Feferman told the Associated Press. Scott Baio is 45...And Single star Scott Baio and fiancé, Renee Sloan, look forward to more happy days. Their daughter is due in December. Time is ticking toward 24’s Sarah Wynter’s first child due this winter. In the other city of lights, Paris Hilton announced to a stunned Christina Aguilera, “Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world. You're gorgeous,” at a MTV Video Music Awards after party in Vegas. Christina was reportedly shocked but later giggled. No official confirmation from the singer yet. Shark star Jeri Ryan will take a bite out of pregnancy. Her second child is due to surface in March.
		Homemade Mexican food was served at nine months preggers Salma Hayek’s shower held in her Hollywood Hills home.
		UNICEF Eminent Advocate for Children Queen Rania of Jordan opened a new Baby Friendly Hospital in Sahab. “Hospitals and maternity units set a powerful example for new mothers,” UNICEF said. Holly Robinson Peete visited Kenya to take part in Maternal Fetal Care International, founded in 2005, to help mothers and children survive and enjoy better health in the poorest regions of the world. UNHCR Good Will Ambassador Angelina Jolie visited Iraq and Syria to draw attention to refugees displaced by the war. "I can't imagine how I could manage to take care of my children in these circumstances," Jolie said on unhcr.org.
		President Bush’s wife Laura and their daughter, Jenna, are teaming up to write a children’s book. "My mom has been my life-long inspiration, sharing her love of reading and books with Barbara and me since we were little girls," Jenna Bush said in a statement. The two teachers will tell the story of a boy who learns to love to read from his own teachers. Mother of Apple and Moses, Gwyneth Paltrow plans to travel Spain for two months with chef Mario Batali to feature the country’s cuisine. Bindi Irwin launched her clothing line, Bindi Wear, at Las Vegas’ Magic, a clothing trade show. The nine-year-old daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, told reporters of her eco-friendly wear, “It’s casual and perfect to go out at any party.”
		Without A Trace’s Poppy Montgomery’s character Samantha will also be pregnant on the show (Poppy is due in December). Dancing with the Stars is adding some Spice. Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice and mother of baby Angel (whose father is Eddie Murphy), will show her moves on the fifth season Sept 24.
		John Edward Thomas Moynahan, son of Bridget Moynahan and Tom Brady, has officially been named.

		The Sum of All Fears and Coyote Ugly actress Bridget Moynahan and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady are officially tackling parenthood. Their son, John, touched down on August 23 in Los Angeles.
		Raise the checkered flag as all systems are a “go” for expectant Indian Indianapolis 500 champion Sam Hornish Jr. and wife Crystal. Their first child is due at the finish line on Feb 10. Rapper Foxy Brown has confirmed she’s carrying a little cub of her own. Baby number two will be skating its way into Olympic figure champ Scott Hamilton and wife Tracie’s hearts in January.
		Healthy Child Healthy World — dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of children from harmful environmental exposures — got some dedication of their own when Los Angeles’s Bel Bambini donated 10% of proceeds earned at a party thrown by ‘Til Death's Joely Fisher and Extra co-host Dayna Devon. The first national spokesperson for PADRES Contra El Cancer (Parents Against Cancer), Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, attended an event on August 11. She will also be hosting their Annual Gala on October 18. “As is custom, our celebration will pay tribute to the courage and heroism demonstrated each and every day by PADRES’ extraordinary children and families,” PADRES’ rep said in a press release. Parents Brooke Shields and husband Chris Henchy hosted an Art of Elysium (a non-profit encouraging celebrities to donate their time to children who are battling serious medical conditions) benefit in Malibu.
		The Biggest Loser host and Days of Our Lives fan fave Alison Sweeney has teamed up with Gerber’s Graduates to promote toddler nutrition. “When Gerber shared its findings from a recent survey of moms, I was shocked that many toddlers weren’t getting the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables in a day,” she said in a press release.
		Isla Fisher, who is due this winter, has signed on for the feature film Confessions of a Shopoholic.
		The Cosby Show actress Lisa Bonet and model Jason Momoa’s daughter’s name, born July 21, has been released: Lola Iolani Momoa. Linda Rosenkrantz, co-author of the The Baby Name Bible, shares that Lola "reflects a current trend for using seductive bad girls names once thought too risque for babies, such as Lolita, Desiree, Delilah, and Salome."
