very parent knows that once you bring a baby into your home, a whole slew of products are sure to follow… and follow… and follow. But you might be wondering what to do with these items once your children have outgrown them.

Of course, you’ll want to save important keepsakes such as photos and other special mementos, but you probably don’t need to keep certain products like the infant tub, swing, diaper pail, etc. Instead of tossing everything out (and into our landfills), think about giving back - and donate your baby items to those in need.
Started by three Los Angeles mothers,
Baby2Baby donates gently used baby items to families in need in the Los Angeles area, such as those living in poverty trying to overcome homelessness, domestic violence, and/or drug abuse. Families are served through L.A. organizations such as Beyond Shelter, 1736 Family Crisis Center, and the Jenesse Center.
Several drop-off locations are situated around Los Angeles, or if you don’t live nearby, you can
send a monetary donation.
And best of all, Baby2Baby fan and board member, actress Julie Bowen tells us, “If you are having a second baby and feel like a shower for #2 is just ‘too much,’ you can register at
babiesrus.com on behalf of Baby2Baby. The gifts will go to needy families instead of going to the back of your garage.”
Encouraging re-use, not refuse.
