What's in Your Diaper Bag?
with... Trista Sutter

by The Cradle Staff

Not only are you a new mom, but you’re also a new designer of diaper bags called Trista Baby. We love the beautiful prints, as well as the fact that they are made with an organic hemp canvas. Eco-conscious and eco-fabulous!

So what we really want to know is...

The Cradle: What’s in your diaper bag right now?

Trista Sutter: What isn’t in my diaper bag is the question! Let’s see, I have the obvious items including Seventh Generation diapers, a changing pad (that comes with our bags), and wipes. I also have my wallet (as my diaper bag is now my purse), baby sunscreen, a leather Mally firetruck bib, toys, and some Cheerios for Max.

The Cradle: What items won’t you leave home without (favorite products), and why?

TS: I love my Micralite Toro Stroller... I always get tons of compliments on it and personally love the fact that it’s light but has larger tires. I usually have some type of Earth’s Best organic baby food with me, just in case, as well as an extra outfit... some of my faves are EM Tanner Designs (they did the favors for Max’s 1st birthday party), Baby Candy, and Blume. I also usually have my camera, for those moments that you don’t want to miss and I never leave home without a Born Free bottle.

The Cradle: When planning to be away from home for a longer period of time, what extra items do you like to bring along?

TS: I try to bring Max’s favorites (of that time). Right now, if we went away for a while, I would bring his First 100 Words book as he could sit and look through it all day, some kind of blow up ball as they are his favorite right now and they pack really easily, and some kind of music toy. If it were a road trip and I could pack a bit more, I would definitely pack our Chicco walking push toy. He loves it!

The Cradle: What do you wish you could fit in your diaper bag (person, thing, etc)?

TS: I don’t really think I need to fit anything more... although it would be nice to bring along his grandparents everywhere we go!

The Cradle: And, regarding your very own Trista Baby bags, what is your favorite feature about your bags?

TS: That’s a hard choice as everything we included in our design was a very thought out decision. I will say though, that I am very proud of the fact that they are made in the USA with the exterior being organic hemp canvas. We weren’t able to find a material to use on the inside that was environmentally friendly and could be wiped down and I knew that would be an essential for a lot of moms, including myself! Hopefully we will be adding more and more styles and patterns very soon, so keep checking back at TristaBaby.
