37 weeks having cramping and flu like symptoms | 11/4/09 1:39 AM
I am 37 weeks and for the past couple of days I have been having cramping, a sharp pain on my cervix, and flu like symptoms of nausea and diarrhea and I have been SO tired. Can these be a sign that I could be going into the labor soon? And even though the cramping isn't all that painful if they start any sort of pattern could they still be contractions?
I already have one child but that pregnancy was so different and I found out I was in labor when my water broke so this feels all new again for me.

When I was pregnant with my second, I actually got some sort of flu at about 39 weeks. I went into the Dr. because I was having contractions about 3 to 7 minutes apart all day long. And because I was so nauseous I wasn't drinking or eating a lot. My Dr. told me that a sickness, along with being a little dehydrated can definitely stimulate your uterus. I really thought my baby was on her way but I was wrong. She was born a week later. I'm glad I didn't really go into labor at that time because I wouldn't have wanted to be in labor along with having the flu.

But also, diarrhea is a sign that you're going into labor. I had that with both of of my kids.
