I had a baby 10 months ago and people still ask if I am pregnant!!!! Aren't there some unspoken rules about asking those questions? I am a little overweight but by no means look pregnant. HELP!

My personal rule is never ask if you're not 100% sure, otherwise you risk humiliating yourself and the woman in question! I'm sorry people are being so insensitive toward you!

I had my second child eight months ago, lost all the weight I had gained and still to this day get asked if I'm pregnant. Even though I got back to my pre-pregnancy weight I was still thick in the belly, but I didn't think I looked preggo. However, I just found out last week that I am pregnant again. So maybe I won't feel so bad when someone asks because I actually am preggo

I am sorry you have to deal with that -yeah- people can be ugh sometimes. I never ask, let them tell me if they are. I am a little on the "chunky" side and am afraid I might get some comment about how I look after pregnancy -and we are adopting! Sometimes people are just insensitive.

I've been asked this question since 5th grade. I have a gut. I"ve always had one. Even when I weighed 85 pounds. (I weigh 160 now and I have the same body type). It used to really bother me. Now I just say "no, I'm just fat". People are just jerks. It really doesn't bother me anymore. I know i"m fat.

UGH! I had a lady at Target a few months ago say, "Oh she looks so little for you to be having another one already!" Um--- she is, lady! Sorry There should definitely be a rule!

I've had the same experience. I had my little boy (my third) and only 4-5 weeks later I had someone ask me when I was due. I was holding my new baby in my arms which made it even worse.

People are so inconsiderate!!! If you aren't sure, don't ask, that's my rule!!! It's up there with "what are you having??" "Uh, puppies, that's what I'm having!" I don't want everyone knowing if it's a boy or girl, I'm not even finding out.

Unfortunately people have no brains... my standard response to the "when are you due" question..., make them feel as bad as they just did to you. I say, "I'm sorry, I'm not pregnant, I'm just fat." and walk away!!! It feels SSSSSOOOO good to see their face. Maybe they'll think twice next time.

My mother taught me that you NEVER ask a woman if she's pregnant unless you can see a child physically emerging from her body!! It's just rude and the chance that you may hurt someone's feelings is just not worth it. I agree with the others that you should let them know that you're NOT pregnant and when they ask when you're due, say "Ten months ago. Her name is ____" and leave it at that. If they are put in their place, maybe they won't do it to the next woman that comes along.
