Hey, first off my name's Heather, I'm 20 years old and I am 10 weeks 2 days pregnant with my first baby~!

Before I even knew I was pregnant (A couple of weeks before I was able to test) I noticed any time I drank milk I felt sick, or if I ate something with milk in it, such as cheese I got a stomach ache a bit later on after eating. (Although I'm one of the lucky few who hasn't had any morning sickness!)

I thought this was strange since I had never had a problem with such things before, in-fact the only thing I ever drank was milk!!

It's been getting worse as my pregnancy has been coming along and the midwife said I could be lactose intolerant because of the baby. I've never heard of anyone becoming lactose intolerant because of being pregnant before, so I was just wondering if there's anyone else here who seems to have a problem with eating dairy products since becoming pregnant.

I am not specifically this way after being pregnant for the first time but know what you mean. I had gastric bypass in 05' and right after that...I swear it seemed like over night I became alergic to milk. I now get the worst dia-poo-poo if I have anything with any milk product in it. I cannot even deal with the soy products. Good luck!

I had the opposite effect with this pregnancy!
I have had lactose intolerance for about 5 years, and since I've been pregnant dairy here I come!
It's been nice to actually eat foods with dairy, not that I didn't love my soy and all.
I know this probably doesn't help you. But what I do hear is that some women do develop allergies they've never had during pregnancy. I hope this passes for you, good luck!!

Hi,
I was the same way. Im 27 weeks and 1 day pregos and in the beggining up to about 2 weeks ago i noticed an intolerence to milk and even too much ice cream. It made me misserable being that I love milk products so much. My doctors says thats normal for some woman...I guess I was one of them unlucky ones. I later asked my sisters (I have 4 that have kids) and they all except one said the same thing! I noticed taking in less, or at one point cutting it out all the way helped because it made me so sick, it was like morning sickness all over again. Now I can take milk fine, excessive amounts make me queasy but i drink alot of water with it. Goodluck and hang in there hopefully it will change for the better!
