My 10 month old has been off his regular sleep patterns at night, since we turned the clocks back. Any recommendations?

This is a little late, but can come in handy for the spring time change. Most books suggest that we start changing our child's schedule by 15 mins at a time, and for a few days at a time. Then another 15 mins for a few days and so on until you reach the 1 hour mark. do this about 1-2 weeks before we actually change the clocks and they should be pretty set on their new schedule.

I am a sleep consultant in Manhattan. While i don't know the particulats, generally I suggest starting at wake time and regulating the day from that point. It is always easier to wake a child than to put her down to sleep. One option might be from wake up time, 2 hours later put her down for first nap, from that wake up time, 3 hours til second nap and then about 4 hours til bed time. In between have outdoor activity and light. Good luck. Jessica Shapley, LMSW www.momsupport.org
