Is anyone else having problems finding Eco friendly diapers. I found G-diapers online which they supposedly carry at Wholefoods and have the starter kits at Babys r us but I can't find them at either store. I want to try cloth, but it makes me nervous. Everyone is trying to convince me that I should go disposable but I feel like that is NOT a good option due to 500 years sitting in the landfill. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a cloth diaper or a more eco friendly option?

I have tried g diapers thinking that they were the best option but they leak and are labor intensive. I plan on trying them again when my daughter is a bit bigger and eating solids. Until then I am using Nature Baby Care. They seem to be the most earth friendly and leak free. I can only find them on line so if I don't plan properly I have 7th generation as a back up. The way we handle our trash is a huge problem so trying to find diapers that are friendlier during production was my goal and these seem to make the most effort...hope this helps.

I plan on cloth diapering my son who is due in a week. I used a cloth diaper service on my two older children who are now 15 & 16 yrs old. Back then I found it to be no hassle at all, and it was no less difficult than using disposables. I can't really recommend any type of cloth now as I am still doing research on them myself. They have so much more to offer now than the did 15 years ago! I know cloth has gotten even better. If you think you might want to try cloth, don't let anyone talk you out of it. I would see if there is a diaper service in your area. This way, you could try out cloth diapers without committing to buying everything necessary to get started. Usually, it costs around $20.00 per week & they pick up & drop off 2xs per week. (thats how it was) Good Luck

I was introduced to cloth diapers from my friends and was skeptical too at first. But once I started I'm now a firm believer!I highly suggest Bumkins diapers! They have the cutest patterns like Dr. Seuss which I love! You can buy them on their website at bumkins.com or at Babies R Us.
