After 39 weeks, its finally time for my baby girl to come. On Thursday, i was dialted two centimeters. I've been having bad contractions and in a lot of pain. I was hoping my doc would tell me he was going to induce me on thursday but he didnt and i was upset. Monday i went back to the doctors, and measured at 4 centimeters. The doc stripped my membranes and was completly surprised on how fast i was dialting. He scheduled me to go to the hospital wednesday night. but he said it is possible that i might not even make it that long. ive been having contractions since my appointment. they arent strong and are still pretty far apart so who knows. Now that im finally going to have me daughter, it's sinking in that im scared. Im scared of delivery, and bringing home and caring for her. I was doing a lot of complaining the past couple weeks because i've been in so much pain and now im not ready to have the baby. I feel like there is so much more that i need to do before she gets here, and since yesterday i've been feeling worse than i usually do so i can only do a little bit of stuff before i need to take a break... I'm excited and am ready to have my daughter, i'm just not ready for the delivery...

I think that most first time moms must feel this way at. I'm only 22 weeks and I am really afraid! So many emotions. It is overwhelming all of the stuff that must get done, and to financially prepare yourself if you can. Good luck!!!

XOXO you are not alone. I think after that baby is in your arms all your fears will fade away. Just have faith in yourself and in your baby and all will be well. Good luck dear. Tell us how it went.

Well, after i posted this, i wasn't feeling well and went and got in the shower, when i got out, my water broke!! I guess the baby wasn't going to wait till wed. I went to the hospital, and was only dilated at 4cm. At 2 in the morning i was still only 4 cm but my contractions were getting really strong. I wanted to hold off with getting the epidural as long as i could, but i was to tense to dilate. They gave me the epidural, which didn't hurt at all. I went to sleep till about 4:15 when the nurse woke me to check and see if anything changed and she said she needed to call the doctor i was 9 and a half cm. the doctor came, talked to me a little bit and a little after 4:30am i started to push. The baby was already really low and it went really fast. She was born at 4:58am. I was actually crowning when the doctor went to change into his scrubs. She only weighed 5lbs 4oz and was 18 inches, but very healthy. Labor ended up not being as bad as i thought. the contractions before the epidural hurt really bad, but the pushing wasn't so bad, it probably would have been if i didn't get the epidural. The doctor said that i was pushing really hard because the baby came so fast. He said that if everyone did that, most of the births wouldn't take as long and be as painful. I focused all the pain and discomfort i felt on getting to meet and hold my baby girl. Thanks for all the support and good luck to all of you.
