First pregnancy | 2/25/09 3:51 AM
Hi everyone. My name is Lauren, and I just found out a week and a half ago that hubby and I are expecting baby #1 We are about 5 weeks in and so excited. Our due date is Oct. 28. I had my first dr. appt. last week which went well, and my first ultrasound will be next Tues. at 6 weeks. Looking forward to taking in lots of advice here, and sharing my first pregnancy with y'all

CONGRATULATIONS and Welcome! My husband and I are anxiously awaiting our 1st baby (boy) too! I have 2.5 weeks until my due date and let me tell you - you are in for an AWESOME ride!

I'm glad you found this site because it is fabulous! Everyone is very helpful and no question is a dumb one! We are excited to join you on your journey too!!!!!!!!

Congrats! I'm also having my first right now. I'm 12 weeks. The sonogram will be amazing! It is so exciting to see the baby for the first time! I go for my 2nd next week! Good luck and feel free to message me if you want to talk about being a first-timer. A lot is going to be changing for you really fast!

Hi! Congratulations! My husband and I are also expecting our first child, a son, in less than 15 weeks. I am 6 months and a week pregnant. We are super excited but also scared. We are due June 12th. Congratulations again. Good Luck with everything.

This is also my first baby. I am due June 5, 2010. I keep reading that alot of women on this site got their early ultrasounds done during their 5-6th week of pregnancy. I went to the OB during my 7th week and he said it was too early to see anything. Any thoughts?

My doctor wouldn't even see me until at least 8 weeks. I go in for my first appointment in 3 days. I can't wait. Just to have all of my emotional feelings and physical symptoms validated: I'm not going crazy! I think visiting the doc will make it all "seem real" for my husband and I. Good luck to you (waiting is the hardest part)!

Congrats on the baby!! The 5th-6th week is to early to see much, don't feel like you are being left out. At this point the baby looks like a stick with a big bubble attached, and there might be a heartbeat at that point, but not necessarily. The second trimester ultrasound is where it is at!!! You can see everything (and if you have it done after 18 weeks the sex too!!!) Good luck!!

They didn't want me to come in till my 8th week until they found out that I was high risk. So my next appointment is nov 13 when i will be 11 weeks pregnant.
