So my Hubby is big into vitamins and suppliments, ect, which got me thinking. I have been doing some research online about herbs and which to take and which to avoid while trying to conceve. Does anyone have any success stories from using/avoiding any sort of herbs? I bought some Evening Primerose Oil to try between now and Ovulation, fingers crossed. Thanks for your help!

I was told by my doc not to take ANY herbs at all. No tea, no herbs in my cooking (I cook a lot). I asked her why? and she said it's just not good for the developing fetus.
I did not think about researching any further, but then my mom told me that when she was pregnant with me, she had tea and lots of herbs on a daily basis and I was born just fine.
I spoke with my doc about this and she repeated... NO HERBS, NO other herb supplements, no other vitamins, etc... other than iron, vitamin c and folic acid.
I have followed her advice so far and I'm 34 weeks and 2 days pregnant. So far everythign is good.

I've read about a multi vitamin called "For Her"... I think they have it at places like GNC and I know you can get it online. Personally, I tried a lot of the natural stuff, bought tons of books on fertility diets, and used an ovulation monitor... I had "unexplained" infertility and ended up going through a year of clomid, IUI's, and finally IVF before getting pregnant. On the other hand though, I know quite a few people that have gotten pregnant after following fertility diets; there are some good books out there.
