I wish you luck! Just remember that it can take a while to happen, so don't lose hope. We decided on New Year's Day of 2008 that we wanted to start a family and we found out on New Year's Eve that we were pregnant. We had tried everything (ovulation kits, basal temps, cough syrup, etc.) to help us conceive and it still took about a year. The best advice I can give you (especially as the wife of a former soldier who did a year-long tour in Iraq) is to just enjoy his leave. It's all you get til he's home for good. Don't even think about getting pregnant. If you put too much pressure on conceiving, it's less likely to happen. Just think about celebrating the fact that you're together again. I know what it's like to be impatient, but it will happen for you when it's supposed to! I truly believe that everything happens for a reason.
