Hey ladies, my husband and I want to honor all the wonderful women in our lives, some who have passed on and some who are still here with us. We found out we are having a GIRL

Super excited but coming up with a name that represents both sides of the family has been hard. We both fell in love with the name Kailyn, however coming up with the middle name is a struggle. I want it to be Kailyn Marie (My mother's name Marie) and he would like Kailyn Erica (His mother's name Erica.) Now my question, is having two middle names too much?

I was thinking Kailyn Erica-Marie

Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance

I have a friend that gave both of her boys two middle names. And I think Kailyn Erica-Marie is beautiful - go for it!

I like Kailyn too I wanted that for my daughter now spelling it KaLynn because Lynn is my middle name but we already have a Kyleigh and there is about 15 people on mine and my Hubby's side with K and C names so we deicded against it ... but I think that name with the two middle names will be cute! I have seen the 2 middle names become a lot more popular!

I once had a friend whose mother gave all the girls a minimum of 5 middle names, all respresentative of family. My husband also has two middle names- his father and grandfather's first names. We will follow the same tradition with our first boy (still don't know what we're having) and use his ( my hubby's) name and his fathers name.

I think two middle names is absolutely original -- you are already making a mark for your child's originality! Take a risk and go for it! Congratulations too!

Sometimes the double middle name can be excessive, but I don't think that Erica-Marie is too much. It is becoming popular to have multiple middle names now.

Thanks for all the input, I was really struggling with the idea of two middle names. I feel much better about her name now, and ready to move forward with the next to do

We are giving our 4th (and final) baby 2 middle names. My oldest daughter lost her best friend in a car accident 2 years ago and she had 2 middle named...one of which we will be using for the new baby. I think its a fantastic tribute to someone you love.
Amelia Joy Victoria is out soon to be youngest name!

I like it!! My little one is GayLeAnn Adele!!! My mom was Gay LeAnn..my sister was too...I am Marciel LeAnn...We lost my mom March 08 and wanted to name our little one in her honor. Adele is my m-i-l middle name!!! So we just put it together!! Good luck!!

I think when doing it for honor purposes it's not excessive.

It's a lovely name.

My name is Kailyn Marie. I will warn you nobody will every say her name right. It will always be said along the lines of kayla kayle ect. I am now having a girl and I can't even looking at those kind of names. All my life It was said wrong. Old people are horrible about it!
