Morning sickness... yeah right!! | 12/14/07 1:04 PM
I'm 9 weeks and most of the time can't seem to get out of bed for at least an hour or so. School starts in January and I need to get a sleep schedule going, but I seem to wake up sick at 1:30am every night. Any suggestions?

It probably wont help with your 1:30 bouts of nausea. But keeping a bag of lemon drops or sour altoids in my purse comes in pretty handy. For some reason the sour candy helps to make the mild nausea go away. Maybe that will help when you start school.

Every pregnancy is different, not just from woman to woman but from one baby to another. I was having mild nausea and such early on, but I never really had full blown morning sickness. I maybe actually vomitted one or two times. I suggest eating some saltine crackers before you go to bed and keep some by the bedside table. Other than that, keep a glass of water handy. If you think you are going to throw up, drink some water. Then, if you do end up vomitting, at least it's mostly water. It also helps you keep the food you've eaten down and the baby will still be benefitted by it.
