So, with my first born i went through labor pretty fast!!

I was actually 5 days away from my due date and at work. My contractions started at around 9 in the morning and were actually started 2 minutes apart, i had no idea i was having contractions, i just thought i had gas or something because i also felt as if i had to use the restroom. Well, i went and tried to go use the restroom which was when out came my mucous plug.

I asked work if i can go home because "i wasnt feeling too well". (funny thing is they didnt want to let me leave work!!

) I got home grabbed my husband and told him i thought it was time to go. We arrived at the hospital at 10:20, my son was born at 10:50!!

Now that i am pregnant with my second child, i am so scared that i can just go into labor anywhere.

They say with your second child labor is alot faster.

I am so nervous!! What if i have the baby at work or on the drive to the hospital, something odd like that?? I know chances are slim.. I'm just VERY nervous

Every pregnancy is different and i dont remember being this nervous with my first....

***I had to vent***

The upside is that you would have the spotlight on the 5 o'clock news if you had the baby in the car right?

I'm just kidding I hope your anxiety settles and I am sure everything will be fine. I am assuming if you gave birth that fast you didn't have much in the line of pain meds and you lived through that! Ahhhh!

I know exactly how you feel, with my first I wasn't nervous at all. I just wanted the pain to stop. Plus it was the weekend so I was at home. But with this one I am so scared that I will go into labor while I am at work. And since I am a sales rep. I could be 30 min. to an hour away from home.

my first baby was two months early, i had a delivery time of about three hours with him, from start to finish, my second born was only a month early and i had him within from the time i noticed my water broke was about a half hour. I am pregnant again and just got released from the hospital with premature labor, they stopped it and i am on bed rest, the hopstial had to bring me by ambulance to the next biggest city only cause i have a history of having babies early, so i think you might want to be safe and you think your going to go into labor quickly then call an ambulance just to be safe if you live to far away from the hospital thats what they told me to do. So good luck with your baby and i think you will make it to work, if you feel the same thing tell your work you think you might be going into labor they will let ya go, or better yet call an amublance for ya. Good luck to you and your baby.

Every labor is different I was in labor with my son for 23hrs. I went into labor at Giordano’s pizza in high park two weeks before my due date my water broke . When I got pregnant with my 2nd child I was in labor for 32hrs. It was not faster actually longer and I had no contractions or any thing I went to the bathroom and I saw mucus on the tissue and we went to the hospital. I’m now pregnant with my 3rd I’m 29 weeks. I’m a little nervous cause I know this can go any way. So hang in there. It all works out for the best.
And remember every labor is different.
