New to the cradle, old to TTC, lets talk! | 8/5/09 2:16 PM
Hey everyone! I'm new to the cradle! I am so excited to find another free forum to discuse our journies of TTC! I think the stork got lost on the way to my house! Dang he needs google maps!
Here's my story:
I am 27 and my husband is 33. We have been married since 11/06. I was dx with PCOS in 2002. We began TTC 3/08 and had all the standard testing done at the begining. We passed for the most part but hubby had some motility issues and had to have some antibiotics to clear up some white blood cells that were compromising the development of correctly shaped swimmers! Then we continued trying for a year. In 3/09 I had a f/u appointment with my DR who started me on clomid 50mg. And after one month basically threw her hands up at me and passed me on to a Reproductive Endocrinologist. We had our first appointment at the RE 7/09 and began our first cycle of IUI on 7/27/09 And are in the middle of the cycle and anxiously awaiting our 2ww already even though we haven't even had our IUI!

Looking to connect with other women who may be in the same boat as me!

Thanks a lot! hope to hear back soon.

Hi! I'm glad someone else wants to chat! I'm new to the cradle and new to message boards in general...

we've been TTC for 2 1/2 yrs with absolutely no luck. I'm 28 and my husband is 33. I'm American, but we live in Italy, so the journey has been very hard for me (far from my family and friends and, at first, not understanding all of the TTC tech terms!). I have been diagnosed with endometriosis and I have one tube completely closed.

I finally had a procedure in May 2010 to free-up the one working tube and have been given 3 mos to try naturally. In August the next step would be one round of IUI and then IVF after that.

It's been really hard because it seems that everyone I know hasn't had any trouble getting pregnant and simply can't understand what I'm going through!

I've always wanted a baby and I've been torturing myself thinking about it non-stop (and looking at baby gear websites and seeing my friends' baby pics, etc). I know everyone says that the moment you stop thinking about it, it will happen, but it seems nearly impossible that I stop thinking about it! We recently renovated our house and it was strange planning but not planning for a baby nursery. I'm buying a new and bigger car and thinking about options like isofix for car seats that I don't have and a spacious trunk for a stroller that I don't need... argh!

Has anyone successfully stopped thinking about getting pregnant while TTC???
