There are risks at your age, but I know someone who had a baby at 50 (her only child at that point was 18 and about to leave for college when she found out!) and all is well with them. There were a lot more tests that she needed done and they monitored her more closely. But mother and baby were both perfectly fine and the baby just celebrated her 1st birthday a little over a month ago. So, don't worry! As for not feeling the symptoms of pregnancy, it's also very possible. I never got sick. No sore breasts. I actually didn't feel pregnant until around 19 weeks when my little girl began moving non-stop. Good luck to you. I'm sure it can't be easy getting a shock like that!
