OK, i'm starting to get to the freaking out stage. I am about a week late for my period as my cycle varies from 28-32 days and day 28 was last Sunday. I peed on a stick Monday and it gave me the most faint line, almost like a variation in the background color of the test, and then later that day when i looked at it again, it was pink. I know you're not supposed to read them after ten minutes, but some friends of mine told me that their positive test actually took a while to show up...soooo i peed on two more, one yesterday (which was Monday) and one tonight. Both of those did the same thing, but the line didn't change color (different brand test whose background gets dark after it's sat for a while.)

Meanwhile, still no period, and today i'm really exhausted and nauseous. Made an appointment for the blood test...but has anyone else had this problem with the home pregnancy tests? Does a super faint line you can barely see count?

took me to be 3 weeks late before a home test would show up otherwise i had the same problem. i was 6 weeks pregnant when the dr took my blood and said it was pos. then i went home took a test it was still neg. finally then at 7 weeks and 4 days it showed up very faint but it was there. good luck!

That happened to me the first time I took one... I wasn't sure what to think because it was a VERY faint line (I was less than a week late but was supposed to go for an xray, so I wanted to check...) From what I understand, though, faint still means positive. I'm due this Saturday so I'd say that was true- at least in my case! Don't go too crazy either way til you see the doctor though... Good luck!

The same thing happened to me. The line was very faint that you could barely see it, so I went and bought the test that had the words pregnant or not pregnant. It was positive, as everyone says a line is a line.

Faint line is how mine appeared after a while on the first test as well. Then on the second test it was blatantly obvious. You rhormone levels might not be high enought to detect in urine yet. Give it a couple more days or just go to the doctor. Good Luck!

That happened to me as well. I got the clear blue easy test, that just says "pregnant".

I found out I was pregnant on my husband's bday but wanted to be SURE before I told him the news - so I bought a digital test that reads "pregnant" or "not pregnant." I was relieved to have my definite yes!

I had the same thing too. I checked the internet and it said that if it's a faint line, then the test detected SOMETHING aka you're pregnant. It might take a few days for a dark line so show up, and it helps to test the first urine of the day.

I would go into the doctor, the blood results will be better. I used the digtal read outs because I was sick of the lines!

I just found out I was pregnant on Monday and I hate the test with the lines or plus and minus or something like that. I took one that was supposed to be a plus and it was immediately a minus and then within a few minutes got a faint line making it a plus. I prefer the digital tests which after two minutes flash pregnant or not pregnant. The first test just confused me to I took one of the digital ones. Especially when you NEED to know it helps to just pay for the better tests. Good luck!
