Hi, I'm new to the Cradle.com community and happy to be here. I've just recently found out I'm expecting our 3rd child, which was not something we'd planned, but very happy with the whole prospect.

Since we weren't planning to have another child, we'd given away all our baby gear and clothing to family and friends, and much of it has now been dispersed far beyond the original recipients so it will be hard to get it back, or it's beyond another use by now.

But though it will be a little inconvenient to reassemble what we need, we're sort of looking forward to taking everything we've learned over the years about what is really essential for a baby and what isn't, and hoping to (a) cut way back on what we bring into the house and (b) find as much as we can already used or to borrow. I'm keeping an eye on freecycle in my community, and will put out the feelers to prospective lenders as soon as we're ready to tell everyone we're expecting.

Anyway, should be a fun challenge, to see how lightly we can tread on the baby gear front.
