Hello- I am a sonographer who is also pregnant. It is typical for many people to have the first, early, ultrasound to verify gestational age & make sure baby is not ectopic. The one you had between 19-22 weeks is typically the last one you get. It is the morphology ultrasound that makes sure everything is okay and baby has all parts & pieces

. This will typically be your last one, and they don't always see gender if baby does not comply. If they can't see gender...they will not typically schedule another to see it as gender is not required by the doctor...usually only desired by the parents. If any are scheduled for later, it is usually because of complications, absence of doppler heart tones at OB exam, or to monitor size if you have gestational diabetes. Hope this helps
