I was just wondering when is a good time to give a newborn a bath. Especially a circumcised little boy?

Our son's circumcision actually healed in about 5 days, but we were told not to give him an actual bath until his umbilical stump healed, so about 2 weeks. We just alternate washing him with only water one time and baby bath the next using a sponge or washcloth. They really don't need one everyday anyway since it dries out their skin. Hope that helps!!!

Our son's circumcision healed within the first week as well. We didn't really clean him much before that. If he had a really messy diaper, I would get a warm wet washcloth and wipe him clean. The same with spit ups and such. The most important thing to remember when bathing a new little one is to keep them as warm as possible. Keep a towel wrapped around the parts that aren't being cleaned at the moment and save the head for last. Newborns' skin is just so sensitive that bathing does dry out their skin very easily, so make sure you keep plenty of baby lotion on hand. It's also a great time to bond with your little bundle!

Johnson and Johnson sells those disposable washclothes that were perfect for newborns, that way you arent saturating them but you are still cleaning them, and its easier to control where the water is going. I used these with my first and I already have them on hand for this one too. Hope this helps
