I was wondering if anyone knew the proper etiquette for sending thank yous for a work shower. I had a couple of ladies throw me a shower and mostly everyone just went in on one big gift. A couple of people got me separate gifts. Is it proper to send handwritten thank yous, emails, or what?

I've contributed to a gift for a bridal work shower and never received a thank you, so I wasn't sure what to do...

My co-workers threw me a shower and I wasn't sure who gave what so I sent an e-mail to everyone with a heartfelt thank you from me, my husband and my little angel.

I gave a thank you to everyone who signed the card and an extra card for those I missed. (Came out to about 50 cards). It's totally up to you though and it's not wrong to send an email. I just felt that if they took the effort and bought us or even pitched in that it was appropriate to put the same energy into the Thank you. It went over well too!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't had my work shower yet, but one of my co-workers had her's last school year. She gave each grade level a thank you note for the gift that we all got together and then individual ones for those who gave individually. One of her close friends wrote everything down so she knew exactly who and what people gave. I plan on doing the same thing, but everyone is different! I hope this information is helpful!!!

On this same note- people at work keep asking us where we are registered, and I tell them, but what I'd really love is if they would just donate some of their Paid Time Off(PTO). Our work allows for PTO donations. Not everyone will want to do that, but any suggestions on how to suggest it? It would help so much more to have one extra day of pay than more onsies or burp rags...
