My husband and I went looking at baby furniture today and didn't have much luck. Does anyone have any suggestions for websites to research? I've looked at babysupermall.com and love what they have, but I still want to shop around some more. Thanks in advance!

I originally started looking at inspiredepot.com. They have a few nice cribs and such, but a little over-priced. So I then looked at familiar retail stores and found some of the same furniture at Wal-mart. Be careful doing this, because their super cheap models are built as priced- cheap. I found an amazing crib at walmart that is really sturdy and a beautiful color. You can try inspire depot for ideas and look for cheaper or buy directly from there- it's a store for just about everything, but they carry baby furniture as well.
If you were interested, here is the link for the crib- it's a crib, changer, and has 3 small drawers and 2 long drawers on the bottom so a total of 5 drawers and has 3 small shelves on the side. I absolutely love it!

Thanks so much! I'll look into it! I've also tried usababy.com too. They have really nice cribs and furniture as well! No matter what, we are going to have to spend a little bit of money on this purchase!!!

We bought our stuff from Burlington Coat Factory's Baby Depot. Each piece (dresser/changing table and 3-in-1 crib)cost about $200. They can be purchased in store and online. We also got a rocking chair from Target that's really nice and comfy. There's no need to spend a ton. We visited a Pottery Barn Baby yesterday and the cribs were around $700...

Thanks for the information. We went to Babies-r-us and didn't really find much at the store, they seem to have more online when it comes to cribs and nursery furniture. We ended up going online to babysupermall.com and bought a 4 in 1 convertable crib and changing table for about $500 with free shipping. Probably not the best deal, but better than some! I still have to get a chair for the room -- we'll probably go to Target as you mentioned to get it. Thanks again!

We got our crib, changing table and dresser from JC Penny. They have a really great selection of cribs. We got a cherry wood set and its sturdy and beautiful.

We looked at JCPenney's but the one near us didn't have much of a selection and this past weekend was tax free so, needless to say, the store was packed and it was difficult to find someone to help us! I was loosing patience and I had to go to the bathroom really bad (shocking since I'm 30 weeks pregnant, huh?) and my husband was getting fidgetity too! BUT, thank you for your response!

I totally feel the same way as you! I've found that it's a good idea to avoid crowds as much as possible now. I get so cranky where before, I wouldn't have minded shopping in a busy store. I hate grocery shopping because of the lines (like it's so hard to wait 5 minutes...) I've become the person I always complain about in the stores! Stupid hormones... And having to use the bathroom every 2 minutes really doesn't help!

My sister gave me the 8th edition of Baby Bargains book by Denise and Alan Fields. It has been beyond helpful, and has websites, parent ratings, safety ratings, and best of all isn't influenced by those who make the products. She bought it at Barnes & Noble, but it is often in stock at Target and Babys R Us.
It can be overwhelming to try to navigate the baby product industry all on one's own. We just purchased our crib and feel great about the quality, value, safety, and investment made.
Please consider reading through this book. Good luck!

Baby Depot is the best place, and if you go into the store, they sometimes will price match if you speak w/ the store manager Good Luck

We bought our baby furniture at babiesrus.com. Some of the stuff is a little pricey, but it's excellent quality. We bought a convertible crib for about $300 and a dresser/changer combo for a little over $400, I think. Very sturdy and BEAUTIFUL.

Ikea has a lot of great and affordable stuff. They have a website and will ship. Depending on where you live, there may be a store near you to go look at things. I'm thinking about getting a crib from them that's convertable to a toddler bed for $140 in a light maple finish. The only issue is that the crib pad is european sizing so standard crib sheets won't fit it. Not a problem for me since the Ikea store is nearby and I would just get the sheets from them (also very affordable and good selection) but that may be an issue for some.
