discomfort is the name of the game right now

I have 3 weeks to go, but I'm not feeling well at all! I know my baby girl isn't ready to join us, but my body is ready. Does anyone else have stomach pain? It's a pain that feels like indigestion and heart burn but the discomfort is going into my back and chest. It feels like she's pushing on my diaphragm and I feel like I’m having a hard time breathing! I can breathe fine, but it’s so uncomfortable…I just want to know that it’s normal!

I was just going to share the joys of my last weeks- not to scare anyone, but to make people aware of some of thos eunspoken treasures we experience without warning!

The shortness of breath was a myth til about 2 weeks ago when I hit 33 weeks. I thought I was having an asthma attack! somehow, I manage to suck in enough air. lol

I woke up on Friday at 35 weeks to swollen feet and now have a whole new appreciation for the pregnancy waddle. I thought for SURE I was going to skip this pregnancy sympton since I am almost done and hadn't shown any signs yet, but it found me and now my "cankles" and I can't wait to "put our feet up" at night!

This one came as a real shocker: I woke up about 3 days ago feeling like I had been kicked in the crotch. This also contributes to my new hip sway...okay..no need to lie here..my pengiun waddle. What is THIS all about? I asked a friend and mom of 3 and she assured me it's normal, and that if I multiply it by 10 or 15, it's almost what I should feel like after giving birth. lol Thanks for THAT!

Despite the nervousness and mile long to do list, I am getting closer to being done with this pregnancy thing. I did great until this last month and now all those symptoms I'd dodged til now are showing up left and right!

Anyone else having as much fun as me??

I do believe I'm having just as much fun as you!!! It's super too! i thought I was going to skip the shortness of breath, but nope...I've got it! Someone just told me that my chest tightness, back pain and stomach pain is probably because she is up against all of my organs. Ok, so I've accepted that, but why only at night does she feel the need to do this to me? I would love to get just one good nights sleep before I go into labor! Is that too much to ask?!

Oh the joys!! I have horrible back pain, sometimes it feels like someone stabbing me in the back! I can't get out of bed without my pelvic bones popping! I'm up every hour, on the hour, to go the bathroom, which is difficult because baby is right up in my rib so any bending or sitting is virutally impossible, can't put on my socks... the waddle has started... luckily no swelling yet... i get a stitch in my side if i walk too much or move too fast.... but it's all worth it in my eyes... can't wait to hold my little miracle!

Oh, yea. I've got back pain just sitting up or standing for 5 min. I've been getting abdominal pain- period cramping sensation every night. It goes away once I get out of bed and get active, but it's been ruining my sleep. I'm exhausted all of the time, even on a good night's sleep. I can't even grocery shop without getting winded. I feel so helpless. On top of all of this, my hubby is in another state with a new job, and I'm trying to pack up our house as it is under contract to be sold, plus getting ready for the baby to come home. There is so much to be done, and so much discomfort and fatigue to deal with- all with nobody to rub my back anymore. Will be worth it in a few more weeks- I'm 35 and a half now, almost there...

It's all normal. But don't worry, you're almost done! Pretty soon you'll have your little one and you'll forget all about the uncomfortable things you're experiencing. It's totally worth it!

I'm 33 weeks and feeling the same thing! The worst is my baby's tiny little butt has found a home in my ribcage, so sitting is very uncomfortable, but then standing is uncomfortable also after a little while! This didn't happen with my first pregnancy until the last few weeks, as well as horrible back pains (which I later found out were contractions, but didn't realize that at the time b/c I expected to feel them in my stomach). In general, I've been more uncomfortable with this pregnancy than my first. I've got 7 weeks to go...and I can't imagine how I'll feel those last couple of weeks since I'm so uncomfortable now!

I think it's funny, too, that anytime I complain about my back hurting, or anything related to being uncomfortable, my DH says "I told you so". He doesn't quite understand how despite all the downsides to pregnancy (morning sickness, backaches, huge belly, etc, etc, etc...) that I wanted to be pregnant again, and that I say I love it! I do LOVE being pregnant! I'll take all the unpleasant moments just to feel my baby kick and move around. It's all worth it just to hear that first cry, to see his face for the first time, to hold him for the first time, to see his smiling face, to have my son hug me out of the blue! There are so many wonderful reasons to deal with the not-so-glorious moments of pregnancy! I loved my first pregnancy, and I love this one, too! I still want another baby in a few years, and I'm sure I'll love it then!

I cannot believe how uncomfortable I am now. I skated through this pregnancy with no side effects up until now. No tenderness, nausea, swelling discomfort. Now my feet are huge, ankles? what ankles. I will not wear anything but long pants now and I feel extremely full all the time. I feel "lazy" because once I finally get in a somewhat comfortable position I don't want to move unless the house is burning down. I have 33 days to go till expected delivery and I am praying she comes a bit early so I can stop feeling like this. Also, I get hungry I take a couple bites and wow I feel like tossing my cookies I am so full.
