morning sickness starting at 14 weeks?!

morning sickness starting at 14 weeks?! | 6/2/09 1:18 AM
I'm 14 weeks along and have been just started getting morning sickness. Up until now, I was a little nauseous but not to the point where I would throw up. In the last week or so, however, I get this overwhelming wave of nausea that sends me running for the bathroom and hurling for 5 minutes or so. Is this normal?! I thought all that was supposed to end, not begin, at the end of your first trimester! Has this happened to anyone else?!

For me I didn't get sick at all in the first trimester and then for the first two weeks of my second tri I got sick and nauseated and now I am fine as long as I don't cook raw meat. I can eat meat I just can't stand around and cook it. I think you are just fine!

I read somewhere that "supposed to" is a phrase that should be stricken from the pregnancy vocabulary. It is perfectly normal to have morning sickness at ANY time during your pregnancy. I am 29 weeks and I still have morning sickness sometimes. Some women never gat any morning sickness - lucky girls. It's all normal.

This is where the "every pregnancy is different" thing comes into play. I wasn't ever sick at all, but the last couple weeks, I've been feeling a little queasy in the morning when I take my prenatals. And I'm WAY past the point where that "should" happen.
