ooooo! Uncharted territory! | 4/7/09 8:28 AM
I get to be the very first to post in this thread... Wooohooo! (I'm so easily amused these days!)

Okay, so my baby boy is due on June 5th. I'm officially HUGE and I haven't seen my toes in a really long time. Um... what else? Oh! I am going to start a prenatal yoga class this week to try to combat the joys of loosening hip joints and the pain that comes with. Has anyone else done this?

Tell me how you're feeling, ladies!! Pregnancy isn't pretty and it helps to whine a little bit!

I'm due June 13th, my feet are starting to do the swelling thing... lol. I can't say that I feel huge just because I've pretty much stayed the same weight through this... (I had a lot of unhealthy weight to lose during this) But the tummy is getting bigger every day.
I wanted to take those classes, I wasn't sure I still could... but I guess I'll check into it! Where are you taking yours? A hospital, or in a private place?
I don't really have anything to whine about, so far this has been the best trimester for me!

Surprisingly there are a lot of studios that offer prenatal yoga. I just did a search on the net and chose one. The instructors said it's never too late to start the class. I'll let you know how it goes!

I'm due on June 15th with a baby boy, and have finally succeeded in freezing my husband out of the house! Normally, he prefers the temperature about 5 degrees cooler than I do, but now I'm preferring it about 5 degrees cooler than he does! The past couple of nights have been chilly here in Houston, and I've let our house get down to about 65-degrees, and have kept the fan on. Feels wonderful to me, but poor DH is sleeping with two blankets! LOL!
As for the swelling, I'm finding that the hotter I get, the more I swell. If I'm cool and able to lay on my left side for about an hour, that tends to bring some relief.
Other than that, I'm feeling pretty great too!

I'm looking forward to a son as well. :0)
Me too! I've always slept with a window open, even just cracked in the dead of winter, because of where my room sits in the house. But recently have kept the fans going and the window all the way open... :0D But... ya know... he can deal with it for a little while.
And I've noticed that about the swelling as well. Yesterday it was BAD. But I can't lay on my left side, it is the most uncomfortable position for me to lay in by far, I know that they suggest you do that for health reasons etc. but I just can't!

Oh, no, sister! I feel ya! I've actually been moved up to May 28th (and the doc is betting that I'll deliver early) and I am soooooo ready to be done!

I, too, have a mover and a shaker. And I do the ever so sexy wheeze up the stairs routine. I'm not the happiest of campers. I just keep reminding myself that it's worth it. It has to be or we wouldn't subject ourselves to it a second time!

Lacey, you are one amazing woman to have been in a horrific accident like that and still have a baby that came out okay. I give you credit for trying again.

Anyway, in regards to the pain, I have had lower back pain and sciatica pain because our son also due June 12th (but the doctor's think I am going early) has been off and on it for the last few months. My husband has been a lifesaver alos because he will rub my back and massage me to make me feel better. Because I went into preterm labor at 31 1/2 weeks dialated and our son has dropped into my pelvis, I too feel like I am walking like a penguin (everyone at work calls it the waddle walk). I am now to the point where I am in pain all the time (I can't lay down, roll over, sit up completely upright, etc.) So I understand the pain that you are going through. I only have 3 weeks left but it can't come soon enough.

It's a Boy! | 6/7/09 11:14 AM as a reply to s.z1028.
Born on Saturday, June 6th, 2009 @ 1:29 PM, my hubby and I welcomed into the world, Daniel Paul. He was 6 days early. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 2.4 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. I only pushed for 12 minutes (7 pushes with only 2 contractions). Everone is doing well.

I was due on the 5th, but it's now the 7th, and I am uncomfortable and anxious! I just want to stop being "preggers" and start being "mommy"!
