| | Self-tanners are probably safe in pregnancy, but like any exposure, I'd try to avoid any chemicals on the skin in the first trimester and while breastfeeding. If you do go out in the sun during your pregnancy, be sure to wear sunscreen, as the added hormones can make the "pregnancy mask" or melasma worse with sun exposure.
