Inside Spa
Before bringing a baby into the world, and into your body, there is a little prep work to be done.
This refreshing cucumber concoction aims to hydrate your baby-making organs from the inside out, while the cayenne pepper is believed to stimulate internal cleansing.
1/2 cucumber, peeled, seeded, and diced
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1 ounce sparkling water
Pinch gound cayenne pepper
Put diced cucumber into a food processor. Add lemon juice and sugar and blend on low for 1 minute. Pour mixture into a large, ice-filled cocktail glass. Top with sparkling water and sprinkle with a pinch of ground cayenne pepper.
(De-Virginize for Dad: Add 1 1/2 ounces Square One organic cucumber vodka or Hendricks gin, which both have hints of cucumber flavor.)
